We’re excited to return North and host our 2026 SS Athletics Outdoor Championships in Aberdeen!

 

Eligibility: Students from SSS-affiliated Scottish universities and colleges are eligible to enter as per our Terms and Conditions, as well as a small number of guest entries per event.

 

SS Athletics Outdoor Championships 2026

Date: Wednesday 22nd April, 2026

Venue: Aberdeen Sports Village (outdoor track)

Entries: Entries will open in 2026 via Playwaze

Entry deadline: TBC

Payment: All student entries will be invoiced to your club/institution after the entry deadline. Please speak to your Sports Union/IA before entering.

Please note guests will be invoiced for the entry, however, payment is required before competing.

 

Pre-event information: Will be distributed ahead of the event to all participants

Please note this is a Senior Championship event so all heights/weights will follow these guidelines.

Heriot-Watt return with their Round the Grounds 5km – part of our Scottish Student XC Winter Series!

There will be two different events taking place:

  • 5k – 13:30 start (13:15 declarations close)
  • Kids Fun Run – 12:45 start (12:30 declarations close)

Both events are multi-terrain that will take you down the trail paths around the campus grounds.

Registration and number collection will be at the start line which is situated outside the Grid building from 11:45pm. (The GRID, Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, Currie EH14 4AS)

SS Volleyball are delighted to once again host the highlight of the domestic men’s student volleyball season which is fast approaching – the Men’s Volleyall Cup! This provides the opportunity for clubs to lock horns to decide the top men’s student volleyball team in Scotland.

The First Round will take place at the University of Stirling on Sunday 8th February 2026. The Semi-finals will take place at the University of Dundee on Sunday 15th February 2026.

The Cup Final date will be confirmed shortly.

Eligibility: The Cups are open to currently matriculated students at Scottish institutions affiliated to SSS as per the SSS Event Terms and Conditions
