Delivery Coordinator | SSS Equality Action Group

The Scottish Student Sport Equality Action Group are recruiting for new members to create tangible, real world change across the sporting sector. Over the past 12 months, alongside developing our new action plan we’ve been reshaping our advisory and delivery structure to support us in achieving our aims in this space. That includes a new Delivery Coordinator role developed as part of our ongoing engagement with the Moving to Inclusion Framework.

Working across four priority areas (below) the Equality Action Group is led by our Chair and an elected member responsible for guiding our wider Belonging based work on the SSS Development Committee. The four priority areas reflect significant barriers to participation and engagement across the student sport network. Our work more broadly seeks to address barriers faced by all, the decision to focus on these four areas allows us to deliver actionable change we believe will have a lasting impact across the sector.

3. Disability
4. Ethnicity

Each area above has an Equality Lead who has a more strategic responsibility for their respective area. Delivery Coordinators will work closely with their Equality Lead, exploring how to translate priorities into activity and outcomes.

These roles would be ideal for those with lived experiences, drive to make a difference and a can-do attitude. The role may appeal to students or staff who have been involved in local equality work and want to make a change at the national level.
