This season’s Men’s Rules and Refereeing course will take place in Glasgow on Sunday 23rd February
This course is designed to get people to the Level 1 qualification required by BUCS, but is also suitable for existing officials refreshing their qualification & knowledge, or advancing to Level 2. It will also be of use to players new to the sport who wish to understand the rules of the game, even if they never referee.
If you are looking to get the minimum two referees in your club required by BUCS regulation LAC 4.1 I recommend you send four people to the course. There is a multiple choice exam at the end and not everyone passes it first time! Plus the more people you have qualified, the easier it will be to share the duties.
Venue
Glasgow University – Garscube Campus – West of Scotland Science Park, Maryhill Rd, Glasgow G20 0SP
https://www.gla.ac.uk/explore/maps/garscubecampus/
The course will run between 10:15 and 17:00.
Cost is £25, or £20 for Lacrosse Scotland members
Follow this link to book a place:

Please book soon – as Lacrosse Scotland need to know numbers in advance. Note that you will not be able to pay on the day, and this is the only course that will run this season.

UHI Perth
Scottish Student Sport are thrilled to announce that this year’s Festive Gathering will take place on Wednesday 3rd December at UHI Perth.
Festive Gathering is our one day winter extravaganza of best practice, learning and connection across the SSS Network, sprinkled with a hint of festive cheer.
Expect to hear from figures across tertiary education, sport, and further afield. We also look forward to being joined by our partners with more details to be announced in due course.
UHI Perth host us for the second time having previously been the venue for Festive Gathering 2019. Its central Scotland location will hopefully make the single day event accessible for delegates from across the country.
Sign ups are open for all members, partners and external delegates through the link below:
Ticket prices are as follows with members able to take advantage of the best discount:
Members: £20
Partners & Governing Bodies: £25
Externals: £30
Once again, individuals can sign up to five people up at a time – easing the burden on those staff members responsible for registering their teams!
We can now reveal the agenda for Festive Gathering 2025!
In addition, our final special guest will be announced in the run-up to the event.

Got a question about Festive Gathering? Reach out to our Head of Development Jordan Dawson with any queries.
