PERSON SPECIFICATION COMPETENCY ESSENTIAL DESIRABLE

  • Qualifications and attainments A relevant qualification in Bookkeeping A relevant qualification in Accounting Experience Minimum 4 years’ experience in a related field of employment
  • Experience in draft statutory accounts preparation Charity/Not for Profit experience Technical knowledge of VAT returns
  • Technical knowledge of Gift Aid Rules Skills and Abilities Excellent organisational skills
  • Can effectively plan, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with meticulous attention to detail
  • Is committed to excellence and has a desire to achieve results. Works on own initiative and has excellent time management skills, with the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
  • Can demonstrate logical problem solving. Can objectively and systematically analyse problems to make the right decisions
  • Excellent communication to people, clearly, concisely and creatively through a positive, calm and enabling attitude using written, verbal and visual tools
  • Ability to work in collaboration with staff, SMT and Board, and third party providers
  • Ability to work in a team, be energetic, focused, self-motivated, flexible and adaptable
  • Open to new ideas and respectful of others’ opinions and views
