Meet your Sports Chairs

Paul McPate

Paul has been Volleyball Chair since 1991 – which really is a life sentence!!

Paul still plays volleyball in his local league in Dundee and had the unique experience of being hosted by the former President of Latvia while playing in a beach volleyball tournament in Latvia in 2008.

Paul’s is the Co-Director of Sport & Active Health at the University of Dundee and coaches the University Volleyball Club. The highlight of Paul’s University coaching was a three year period when the University women’s team reached the BUCS Championship Final (2008/09 and 2010/11), with the team winning the BUCS Trophy in the intervening year – an achievement unlikely to be repeated!

Paul remains committed to ensuring that, whatever their level of ability or potential, students can create and enjoy lifetime memories through their involvement with the sport.
