Lacrosse

Key Information

At Scottish Student Sport (SSS) we are committed to developing lacrosse in Scotland by staging tournaments and courses where new and experienced players are equally welcomed.

The Lacrosse programme for students in Scotland currently comprises of the BUCS leagues and a Women’s Beginner Tournament.

For teams lucky enough to be in a BUCS League Tier large enough, they have the opportunity to compete in the BUCS Conference and fight to make it to the prestigious Conference Finals Day.

Any student team which does not wish to enter the BUCS league, or which are looking for more competitive outlets, are welcomed by the governing body, Lacrosse Scotland, to join their club leagues. There are lots of opportunities to get involved!

SSS are also passionate about helping student clubs develop to be bigger and better each year. They work with Lacrosse Scotland to form mutual goals which benefit the sport as a whole. This includes hosting officiating and coaching courses for students.

Stay tuned for further updates about our plan for the season ahead!

Meet your Sports Chair

Would you like to become Scottish Student Lacrosse Chair?

Our chair would be involved in leading our group to developing student lacrosse in Scotland. This involves working closely with clubs and members to take a person centered approach to what we offer to the community, from working with the governing body to make development courses available, to planning and delivering an event. Not only is this a great opportunity for personal development, but it is a hands on approach to improving the quality of our offering to student lacrosse players.

If this sounds like something you would consider being involved in please reach out to SSS Staff lead for Lacrosse Jo Foster at jo@scottishstudentsport.com
