Scottish Student Fencing are delighted with the return of the SS Fencing Beginners and Individuals Championships for the 2025/26 season, with the two events being run simultaneously this year!

 

SS Fencing Individual and Beginners Championships 2025-26

Venue: [EN]gage, Edinburgh Napier

Date: 7-8th February 2026

Cost: £25 per individual weapon (discount applied for multiple entries per person)

Format and Rules: Format is 2 rounds of poules (group stage) followed by direct elimination based on seeding from the poules. Fencers will be randomly drawn and separated by club. All fencers will be promoted from the poules and both rounds will count towards the direct elimination seeding. Medals will be awarded to the top 4 in each weapon. Format is subject to change dependent on entries received, fencers will be notified the week of the event so please keep an eye out on emails.

Armourer: An armourer will be on site to address equipment issues each day for a small fee. Please make sure you bring cash to cover any repair costs.

Medals: Medals will be awarded to the top 4 in each weapon.

Entry Payment: All payments will be deferred for this event so that we can apply discounts for fencers choosing to fence multiple weapons. Therefore all entries will be invoiced to your Sports Union/Institution. Your entry should go directly through on SSS Playwaze.
