We’re excited to host another Scottish Student XC Championship event! There’s more than just medals and club bragging rights to race for – the top 12 male and female finishers will gain automatic qualification into our Scottish Student XC National Squad team.

Scottish Student Cross-Country Championships 2025

Date: Sunday 16th November

Venue: Craigtoun Country Park, St Andrews, KY16 8NX

Cost: £10 per student

Payment: Invoices will be distributed to Sports Unions on behalf of teams following the entry closing date. Please ensure to make your Sports Union/Captain aware of your entry before the deadline.

We are pleased to announce entries for our SSS Boccia Festival 2024 are now open!

 

Thank you to the University of Stirling for hosting us for another year and to SDS for their support.

 

Boccia is a fast-growing sport within our student community and our Boccia Festival aims to bring together students of all abilities, whether you have played the sport before or not. The top placing teams from each institution will have a further opportunity to compete at our Boccia Championship event in February for the inaugural title of Scottish Student Boccia Champions!

 

We’d love to see as many teams compete across the sector as possible. Please see below more information about how to enter and get involved.

 

Scottish Student Boccia Festival 2024

Date: Wednesday 13th November

Venue: University of Stirling

Time: 12-5pm (arrive at 11:30)

Entries: Click HERE to submit your institution’s entries. Please note, we will try to accommodate as many teams as possible.

Cost: Free!

Entry requirements: Must have minimum of one student with a disability per team. All teams must be from SSS-affiliated institutions. Minimum of 2 students/maximum of 3 students in a team.

Scottish universities and colleges are eligible to enter as per our Terms and Conditions.

Mixed-institution teams: if you do not have enough students to field a whole team, mixed-institutions teams are welcome! Either fill in the sign up to be paired with another institution or reach out to others yourselves.

Entry deadline: Thursday 31st October 2024

 

Pre-Event: Following the deadline, we will be in touch with player registration and pre-event information, including a draw for the day.

Volunteers: If your institution is able to bring a sports volunteer(s) on the day, please let us know as we’d be really grateful to have support running the event!

These are 4-a-side fun tournaments for new club members and those learning the game – a great chance to enjoy some volleyball competition in friendly, small-sided games.
