Stirling University host their 2026 Aquathlon!

 

Join us at the University of Stirling Aquathon, a thrilling multisport event combining swimming and running. Whether you are an experienced athlete or a first-time participant it is set to be a fantastic morning marking the return of multisport competition to Stirling. Thank you to our main sponsor Steedman Chartered Accountants for helping us making this event better than before!

Chip timing and live results will be provided by What’s My Time Ltd.

Prizes are as follows for male and female: 1st £50, 2nd £30, 3rd £20.

This year’s Aquathlon is held in partnership with Team Alexis Rose, raising awareness for Meningitis Now in memory of Alexis Rose, who tragically lost her life to meningitis at just 19 months old. Together, we’re helping to spread awareness of the signs and symptoms of meningitis and septicaemia. Entry donations will go towards the Team Alexis Rose Fund which supports Meningitis Now in providing vital help for meningitis and septicaemia survivors and in raising life-saving awareness.

The race will take on a unique RUN-SWIM-RUN format comprising of a mixed terrain 3.5km run around the perimeter of Airthrey Loch. Followed by a 600m pool swim in the University of Stirling 50m swimming pool, home to the National Triathlon Centre and National Swimming academy. The race will finish with a mixed terrain 2.5km run around the beautiful grounds of the University of Stirling. Every competitor will receive a goody bag and finisher memento.

Furthermore, we are offering a 15% student discount on entry free.

Changing facilities and toilets on site, as well as a cafe for refreshments.  Details will be sent out closer to the  event date, but the start time will be in the morning.
